Homework
Homework in third grade is given Monday through Thursday and rarely on Fridays. It should generally take about 30 minutes to complete. My goal this year is to prepare students for academic success by focusing on responsibility. Students will be given time each day to record their homework in their assignment notebooks, and I ask that you check this notebook each night as your child completes his/her work. Together we can work to help your child learn to become responsible for his/her schoolwork.
To keep you informed of your child's progress, missing and late assignments will be noted in your child's Friday Folder.

Students always have the following to do for homework:
- Study math facts
- review vocabulary words for reading and science
- study weekly spelling list
- read library books
I forgot my homework.....
students who do not return their homework or any other document that has been asked to be returned to school (Friday folder, etc) will spend their lunch and recess in homework club.
If your child is unable to complete their homework because they do not understand the concept presented, please write a note and have them come to school with the assignment not completed. I will find time to meet with them and review the concept again so that they can complete the practice.
